What's included in your house build?

NOT JUST THE KITCHEN SINK.

No matter which Latitude Homes plan you choose to build with, you can be assured that you will be walking into a complete home, ready to live in with many home comforts that you may not at first have realised were included in the house price. From kitchen whiteware and bathroom fixtures to security systems, there’s plenty more on offer than just the kitchen sink.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE KITCHEN OF A NEW BUILD?

With every NZ range new build we include some very well specced appliances. Each kitchen will have appliances from Bosch including: stainless steel dishwasher to assist with the wash up at the end of the day. Above the supplied oven and cook top you will also find a rangehood to help keep away the moisture and cooking smells from your new home.

Here is the breakdown of appliances for your kitchen:

  • Bosch 7 Function inbuilt oven with EcoClean,
  • Bosch 60cm Induction cooktop,
  • Bosch 14 place setting Dishwasher with Wi-Fi,
  • Bosch 90cm Rangehood

It is also important to note that we work closely with MasterCraft kitchens to design modern and well designed kitchens for our homes. We are really proud to have them as the designers and materials supplier of the kitchens in every Latitude home.

The kitchen is such an important area in the home and many of you will want to put your own character into it. Aside from our standard range of supplied appliances and fittings, you have the opportunity to influence the look of your kitchen. Adding a coloured splashback or choosing funky or more traditional tiles can add a modern café feel to the kitchen. You can also influence the bench top or even the handles on the cupboards. Unless you are upgrading the spec, in most cases this won’t add to the cost of your build as our specifications allow for customer choice.

ARE YOUR HOMES FURNISHED?

Although we do not supply any furniture we do include quality, shelving systems in the bedroom wardrobes and hot water cupboards and of course, solid shelving in the pantry and any kitchen cupboards.

DOES THE HOME BUILD INCLUDE TAPWARE AND PLUMBING?

Yes, and yes. Nobody wants to be caught short when they move into their new home so we include all tapware, toilets and vanities plus bath and/or shower units where the plan allows. We even include mirrors in the bathroom and tiling around the wet areas. In the laundry you will have to supply your own washing machine but we have a tub installed and taps ready for connection.

Here is the tapware and plumbing supplied in your new home.

  • LeVivi Marbella Back To Wall toilet.
  • St Michel Haven wall hung vanity units.
  • Chrome bath spout and chrome mixer.
  • Chrome gooseneck single lever mixer to kitchen sink.

ONCE THE HOUSE IS BUILT WILL I NEED TO GET AN ELECTRICIAN IN TO PUT IN LIGHTING OR A PAINTER?

Here’s where we feel our customers get the most surprise. The electrical work and fixtures supplied with their new build home, remember these aren’t added extra costs but are included in your home price as stated on our website.

From LED downlights and strip lighting above the vanities, hard wired smoke detectors to heated towel rails and even a keypad operated home security alarm system there are a lot of electrical conveniences built into your new home cost.

Here is a list of what you can expect with your Latitude home:

  • LED down lights.
  • Feature strip lights over vanities.
  • Double and single power points (as per standard electrical plan).
  • 2 x TV / ethernet connections & 2 x telephone points, 1 x 2-way switch.
  • RCD to distribution board (single phase only).
  • Alarm system: 2-3 sensors, internal external siren, 1 keypad and back up.
  • Hard wired smoke detector.
  • LED fan lights to bathrooms/ensuite.

In terms of your interior and exterior painting, that’s all covered and speaking of covered, so are your floors with quality nylon 5kg carpet with 10mm underlay and vinyl planking to wet areas including floor preparation.

YES, YOU CAN UPGRADE.

Buying off-plan means that we have saved you money in building efficiencies and buying power, that not only goes for the building materials but also the appliances and fixtures we supply. However, should you wish to upgrade your appliances or fixtures, you can. This will form part of the planning discussion with your local Latitude Homes builder before they commence your home build.

Upgrading will increase the cost of materials and may require a plan change to fit any specific appliances or fixtures but we are happy to assist you to get your Latitude home just the way you want it.

OK, SO WHAT ISN’T INCLUDED IN YOUR NEW HOME BUILD PRICE?

Many of the items we don’t include because we cannot have influence over them. They are largely site specific and include such things as services to the home from the road, site works, driveways and decking.
