Guide to the building process

Step 1

Initial conversation

Our New Home Consultant will get the ball rolling with a free site visit to establish what you want from your build. Next, an initial Plan Deposit (starting from $5,000) gets you a site plan, floor and elevations plan.

Step 2

Financing your new home

We build to your budget. If you’ve got finance approved and know what you’ve got to spend, then we’ll find the home to suit with the materials you prefer. If you haven’t got build finance sorted, our New Home Consultant will recommend a mortgage broker for you.

Step 3

A plan for every Kiwi

Now it’s time for the fun stuff. Choose the house plan that’s right for you from our extensive design collection. Our flexible builds can be easily altered to suit your needs.

Step 4

Concept and design

Regular design meetings ensure we’re all on the same page as your new home begins to take shape on paper. An estimate will be prepared and presented to you based on your cladding, colour and finishing choices.

Step 5

Working drawings

Once you’re happy with the final plans and we’ve received the 10% deposit outlined in the contract, we’ll prepare the full documentation required for council approval.

Step 6

Plans approved, building starts!

Your personal Project Manager will ensure your build goes according to the specifications in your Master Build Contract and will be your point of contact during the construction process. Expect regular site meetings, weekly updates and payment guidance.

Step 7

Home sweet home

The work is over and now it's time to sit back, relax and simply enjoy your new home. All of which is made easier with a 12-month maintenance period, a 10-year guarantee and of course we’ll be here for you if you have any questions or need extra support.

The full build path

A full build home is where we take care of the entire building process for you. Everything from excavations, floor construction, builders, electricians, plumbers, and painters, to building consent issues and inspections. We’ll discuss all your needs and wants with our team up front, to accurately determine the full cost of your home and avoid any nasty surprises.
