We build the shell, you finish it off. The Shell Only option is a midway point between kitset and a full build. Latitude Homes organises the laying of the floor foundation, the frames and trusses erected and the roof and exterior cladding and windows and doors installed. It is at this point (known as the lock-up stage), you take over.

All the remaining materials can be purchased from Latitude Homes, including a pre-assembled kitchen (taking advantage of our bulk buying power) or you also have the option of sourcing your own materials. You then finish the work in your own time, with the peace of mind that your home is weatherproof and secure. At this point you take over to install the insulation, interior linings, install the prehung doors, fit off the electrical and plumbing fixtures and fittings and connect up to your services.

Add your final touches - floor coverings and drapes, to complete your wonderful new home, and then move in, it’s as easy as that. This option is great if you have a limited budget but not the time to spend looking for or supervising contractors. It’s also perfect if you have DIY skills!
