The Full Build option is where we take care of the whole building process. 

Latitude Homes have hundreds of plans to choose from and we will work with you to suggest plans that will suit your land best and at this point we can alter any plan to suit your needs.

Keep in mind changes to the plans can alter the price but our experienced team will work with you to make the plan work within your budget.

Selecting the ‘Full Build’ option means that Latitude Homes organises the excavations, concrete floors, builders, electricians, plumbers, drain layers, painters etc, and also takes care of all building consents and inspections.

We can meet with you on site to inspect your new home and we keep you up-to-date with regular progress reports.

Providing additional peace of mind is the Master Builders Guarantee that covers the work and materials used in constructing your home. Once the house is complete, we walk through with you to ensure you are completely happy with the end product – at this point we hand over your keys and a welcoming gift for you to enjoy as you move in and celebrate your new home.

If you have little to no DIY skills

No time to manage/oversee the build

It removes the stress by having our experienced team manage all aspects of the build.

This option is one of our most popular building options. Kiwis who choose to build their own home love this option due to its affordability and flexibility. The price of our kitset homes compared to other build options varies significantly depending on your region and the house plan you choose.

This is the most cost effective way to build your own home, and a great solution for many people with DIY skills. 

With the kitset option, we supply plans and all the major building materials for your home are delivered to your site.

You then take total charge of the construction process. We provide everything from frames, trusses and exterior cladding to the plumbing supply including tapware and even the kitchen and kitchen appliances you’ll require - all at a considerably lower cost than if you purchased the individual items yourself.

As we only work with NZ's most reputable building material manufacturers, you benefit from our bulk buying power plus all your building materials are sourced and delivered from local suppliers closest to your area, from Bluff to Kaitaia.

You then project manage the building of your new home yourself. We can provide you with guidelines and advice, but it is up to you to contract out the construction work you need done and oversee the work. This will usually include a builder and then the sub-trades such as the electrician, plumber, painter and drainlayer.

Latitude Homes can supply you with a list of recommended builders who usually have plenty of contacts in the sub-trades to complete the necessary work. We will also provide a list of what is required and will help guide you through any problems that you may experience.

If you are confident of your practical DIY abilities

You will save thousands of dollars off the full build price

You’ll be able to make additional savings by doing some of the labour yourself.

We build the shell of the home, you finish it off.

The Shell Only option is a midway point between kitset and a full build.

Latitude Homes organises getting the concrete floor laid, the frames and trusses erected and the roof and exterior cladding and windows and doors installed. At this point (known as the lock-up stage), you take over.

All the remaining materials can be purchased from Latitude Homes, including a pre-assembled kitchen (taking advantage of our bulk buying power) or you also have the option of sourcing your own materials. You then finish the work in your own time, with the peace of mind that your home is weatherproof and secure. All you need to do is install the insulation, interior linings, install the prehung doors then plaster and paint, fit off the electrical and plumbing fixtures and fittings and connect up to your services.

Add your final touches - floor coverings and drapes, to complete your wonderful new home, and then move in, it’s as easy as that. This option is great if you have a limited budget but not the time to spend looking for or supervising contractors. It’s also perfect if you have DIY skills!

We build the shell of the home, as described above, and supply the materials for you to complete the interior.

This is where you can take advantage of our buying power and supplier relationships to save money on the interior of your home. It makes perfect sense to buy the Shell Internal build option from us if you have already committed to a Shell Only build as we already have all of the measurements of the interior of your home.;

The insulation, interior linings, prehung doors, pre-assembled kitchen, bathroom and laundry fittings all supplied to fit your home. All you have to do is install these, fit off the electrical and plumbing fixtures and fittings and connect up to your services.

Then you can add your final touches - floor coverings and drapes, to complete your wonderful new home build.
