Latitude Homes is owned and run by Marc and Kelly Hunter. Supported
by a very experienced team, they all bring over 100 combined years
of expertise within the building industry to the company.
Marc's philosophy of providing the knowledge and assistance to help
customers through the home building process is reflected throughout
the Latitude Homes Team.
For over 15 years Marc was the Managing Director (NZ) for one of the largest transport companies in the world and had extensive training in both NZ and internationally in management, administration and accounting. After being in the transport industry, Marc changed tack, having always wanted to be involved in the building industry, and joined a building material supply company as the General Manager. After being a partner for 5 years in one of the largest housing/supply companies in the country, Marc decided to take on the challenge of creating his own housing company.
Marc believes in giving back to those who support him and that great customer service teamed with loyalty to staff and suppliers is the key to success in business.
Before becoming involved with the building industry Kelly achieved
a Bachelor of Education which led to her implementing and managing
a variety of courses at 2 large secondary schools. Now combining
a family of 2 young children and a busy life working alongside her
husband at Latitude Homes, Kelly plays a key role in the Sales and
Administration of the company. Along with the importance of achieving
a balanced lifestyle for her family, Kelly's personal contribution
to the Latitude Homes philosophy is to work hard and help people
achieve anything they set their minds to - including building their
dream home!
Noel has extensive experience across a number of
industries having worked for one of the world's best known brands
- Coca Cola. But the pull of the housing industry and the opportunity
to meet with his customers and to work alongside them won out over
planning special events! Noel's enthusiasm, sense of humour and
a passion for the highest levels of customer service has seen him
become one of our most popular Sales Consultants.
Latitude Homes’ dedication to providing an
efficient service for their customers includes being able to draw
up and complete floorplans within a very short timeframe – in
fact a lot quicker than most other construction companies. The
person responsible for this is the head of Latitude Design – Marty
Hunt. Young and enthusiastic, Marty brings experience from over
5 years working in the residential housing design industry as well
as a great amount of energy and commitment to the company. Marty’s
philosophy on life and his career is to never settle for mediocrity
but to continually strive for success. That’s why Latitude
Design is quickly making its mark in the housing industry.
For the past 6 years Monesh has been involved in project management and Quantity Surveying for both residential homes as well as commercial projects. With experience in estimation, purchasing and on site project management Monesh is familiar with all aspects of the building process. His personal attitude of striving to achieve the highest level of success in everything he does makes him an ideal Latitude Design team member.
A very experienced businesswoman, Lynda has run a number of housing
companies and has worked with major building material suppliers in
management positions. She has a passion for the building industry
having spent the last 29 years working at starting up and managing
a number of her own successful businesses. Far from happy to sit
back and watch, Lynda enjoys pushing the boundaries and her boundless
amount of energy sees her going the extra mile for her customers
as a matter of course.
Involved in sales and customer service for the past
14 years has seen Stephen become the number one sales rep in 2
different companies. With this outstanding success dealing with
customers in building related industries, Stephen’s friendly
and professional approach is appreciated by the Latitude Homes
customers as they contact him to have their queries answered. With
a young and growing family, Stephen’s philosophy of treating
others how you want to be treated yourself, nicely complements
the Latitude Homes’ philosophy of helping others.
Darrin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Latitude Homes team. With over 25 years in the construction industry there isn’t much he doesn’t know when it comes to the practical issues of building a house. Combined with 8 years in construction Project Management, customers who work with Darrin can rely on him to keep them well informed throughout the whole building process. His own philosophy of staying positive and approaching life with an open mind is reflected in his ability to make building your own home an enjoyable experience.
Mike comes to the building industry from a very diverse background. With a 20 year military career plus experience in farming, the hospitality industry as well as tutoring police and security courses Mike strives to reach optimal performance within all aspects of his life. It is this philosophy that has made him a successful businessman today. As a Latitude Homes joint Licence Holder for the Western Bay, Bay of Plenty region Mike’s determination to bring affordable housing to all new home owners is now a reality.
Before joining Latitude Homes, Debbie was the co-owner of a steel building franchise for 7 years as well as many years in banking and insurance businesses. This combination of financial expertise and construction industry experience gives her an extensive range of knowledge that her customers rely upon when building their own home. From cost control through to interior design Debbie’s practical approach is a valuable asset particularly as she has been involved in the design and construction of 2 of her own homes. Her philosophy towards life of ‘what you put in is what you get out’ is displayed in her commitment to her customers as they embark on the journey of building their own dream home.
Born in the Central Hawkes Bay, Issy has remained loyal to the region throughout most of her working life. With a strong background in sales, including setting up sales training courses for other businesses, she has also worked in retail as well as the real estate industry selling lifestyle blocks. As a mother of 3 adult children, Issy was also involved as a mentor for Project K – a Foundation for Youth Development programme designed to inspire 14-15-year-olds to maximise their full potential. It is this personal passion for helping others to realise their goals and dreams that made it an easy decision for Issy to become part of the Latitude Homes team.
