  Master Builders Guarantee

We are proud to be a Registered Master Builder. As such our houses will be covered by the Master Builders 10 Year Premium Guarantee. This means your home is covered for the following:

Loss of deposit – up to 5% of the contract price or $25,000 whichever is the lesser
Non-completion – up to 10% of the contract price or $40,000 whichever is the lesser
Defects in materials – for two years
Defects in workmanship – for two years
Structural defects – for a total of ten years
Rot and fungal decay

Note that the above cover is subject to the various exclusions and limitations set out in the Guarantee terms and Conditions. The Guarantee is neither a contract of insurance or indemnity nor is it a maintenance contract.

Maximum Aggregate Cover

The Maximum Aggregate Cover provided by the Guarantee is $500,000 or the full contract prices including GST and excluding the value of any land.

In addition to the 10 year Master Builders Premium Guarantee*, Latitude Homes offers a further 25 year Structural Warranty and an 18 Week Build Time Guarantee (conditions apply) providing exceptional peace of mind from the start of the building process right through to after having spent many happy years living in your home. Plus, our Latitude Homes Warranty is transferable to the next owner if you sell your home within the Warranty period. (Warranty allows for 1 transfer of ownership.)
* Our Budget Homes come with a Master Builders 10 Year Master Builders Classic Guarantee.

  18 Week Build Time Guarantee

Latitude Homes also offers you the peace of mind of a comprehensive 18 Week Build Time Guarantee. This means that if your house is not finished by the mutually agreed date, Latitude Homes will pay your rent (up to $300 per week) until your home is finished.
The Latitude Homes 18 Week Build Time Guarantee is subject to the following conditions:

• takes effect from the building start date*

• finishes at the practical completion of the house

• applies only to our single storied designs sited on a fully surveyed level section where minimum excavation is required and soil conditions are identified by a Geotech (soil) report.
applies to designs with a concrete rib raft floor

• covers our standard designs

• applies to homes to be built on sites that are level, sewered and serviced with utilities

Our 18 Week Build Time Guarantee does not apply to:

• any structural or cosmetic variations eg chimneys, decks or additional rooms that have been added to the standard design

• our double storied design range

• non standard colour choices

• additional services eg landscaping, exterior finishes, retaining walls, decks, steps and porches, fencing, driveways, retaining walls or significant site works

• floor coverings (if owners care)

• Building start date is the date actual construction begins ie after all the building consents have been obtained and the building platform prepared.

*Due to weather restrictions the 18 week Build Time Guarantee is not valid on homes where building commences during the months of June and July.
